Cant even open with iPad 1

Continuously crashes and sometimes takes 6 or more attempts to open on iPad 1. The only reason I keep it is for the quality of the articles. I can understand a few bugs here and there, but at least get it to load up. Telegraph please sort out this infuriating problem, you should be embarrassed.
